Benson Boone’s new single, “Beautiful Things.”

Benson Boone, a rising artist from Monroe, Washington, recently released his new single “Beautiful Things.”

Boone, born in 2002, discovered his love and talent for music in his junior year of high school after his friend asked him to sing and play piano in their Battle of the Bands competition. He went on to take singing seriously and started posting videos on TikTok. Boone’s music can be described as diaristic pop, and he uses emotional lyrics to share relatable stories based on his life experiences.

After garnering popularity on TikTok, Boone was discovered by lead singer Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons. Boone was signed to Warner Records in 2021, and subsequently released his single “Ghost Town.” It was a huge success as it charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in 13 countries.

This goes to show how TikTok can launch an artist into fame. Today, successful music careers can start with a social media post. Artists like Olivia Rodrigo, PinkPantheress, and Lil Nas X benefited from their presence on TikTok, which turned their songs into hits.

With two EPs, several singles, and a world tour under his belt, Benson Boone has established himself in the music industry. And with an upcoming tour, he’s still chasing success.
