Did TikTok murder this book’s reputation? Or did it crack the case?

A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder by: Holly Jackson (trilogy review)

A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder by Holly Jackson has been blowing up on TikTok, and I’m here to tell you if it’s worth reading.

This whole series is a nail biter. Imagine a school project that turns into a town changing narrative. Then add on a podcast and an old cold case. Finished off with the tables turned on to you. This series got progressively better with Jackson pulling in subtle details from other books that you would have otherwise brushed off. As the books continue, they get more violent and graphic. They also start pulling in examples of PTSD, so I recommend checking the trigger warnings online before you begin this series. If you don’t mind a bit of violence and gore, I would highly recommend this series. The characters’ relationships are very fun to watch grow, and the structure of the overall novel is done very well. Not to mention, the overall plot is very thorough and enticing.

If you like crime or mystery novels this is definitely a book you should pick up.

I give this series a 9.5/10
