Concert band was next to play, consisting of 10th graders. They performed Fanfare Hayabusa, Takeda Lullaby, Irish Rhapsody , and finished with A Klezmer Karnival.
The final two bands to perform started at 8:00 pm. Vivace band, the other 9th grade band started off performing Energy!. They followed with Creer, The Country Club Stomp, and The Great Locomotive Chase.
The final band of the night was Symphonic band, which had both 11th and 12th graders. They played Tuttarana, American Hymnsong Suite, Mirus and finished off the night with Rolling Thunder.
Mirus is composed by Matt Dehnel, one of the two band teachers at RAHS. Mirus is a latin word meaning “wonderful, astonishing, or extraordinary”. As Symphonic band was performing this song, quotes written by the students were projected on the wall, referencing what they thought about and felt when hearing this song.
