Roseville Girls Lacrosse is midway through their season. Their current standings are 2-5 with four games remaining in the regular season.
Junior Julia Kohanek said, “The season has been good! We’ve been playing well while working towards reaching our full potential and having fun as a team!”
Upcoming for the lacrosse team is two away games against Woodbury and Hill Murray, on May 15th and 21st respectively. They will end their regular season with one final home game against Visitation on May 23rd.
One highlight for the team was their game against Irondale. Freshman Scarlett Ludwig said, “it was a really nice day and I think everyone played really well.” The team ended their game against Irondale with a 16-2 win.
Kohanek also shared that their section games are also a big highlight for the team. She enjoys sections “because the energy is very motivating, exciting, and focused all at the same time. And although it’s sad because the season comes to an end, it’s when all of our hard work really is put to the test.”
Looking ahead to next year, Kohanek says “I’m really looking forward to having a senior season with all of the junior players right now. We’re a really close team and it’ll be fun to see this through to the end with all of these girls!” Similarly, Ludwig also shared her excitement for next year. She said “I’m looking forward to having more games next year and hopefully learning some good plays.”
Although their season is coming to an end, the Girls Lacrosse team is looking forward to an exciting future with the team and another season next year. Kohanek said, “I’m just overall excited to continue to improve our game and see where we can push ourselves a year from now.”
