Matched by Allie Condie is a Dystopian YA novel about a society who picks who you love. It follows a young girl named Cassie who is “matched” with her best friend. However, when she looks at future plans, she sees a different familiar face. After she sees this Cassie starts running into him all the time and starts talking to him more. Together they start defying the system and slowly break out of the hold of society. 

This book was one of the best dystopian novels I have read. It held a mirror up to society in a few ways and really makes you think about the society we live in. It is also a great sit-down story book even if you don’t want to think.

I give it a 7/10 and would definitely recommend.
