The Roseville Baseball team is looking to top their successful 2024 season where they made it to the section semifinals, as they are set to kick off the 2025 season on Friday, April 4th against Maple Grove.
With many new faces on the field this year, optimism is the main theme in the air. Senior Alden Homzik had this to say about the upcoming season “There are so many new players I cannot wait to see what we can do as a team.”
With over half of the 2024 roster being seniors, it will be exciting to see how the new group of players perform. Silas Nelson, a sophomore said “I have high expectations for the season, I want to make it far and I think we have the team to do so.”
Calvin McCabe, Jackson Hahn and Sam Vacarri are a few of the players who are faced with a challenge of replacing key players who graduated last year.
Junior Spencer Barta, an experienced Varsity player, has no doubts saying “I believe the new guys will step up and be the right pieces to the puzzle”.
With a final record of 11-14 and a section semifinal appearance in 2024, the Raiders are looking to improve and make a run in the upcoming season.
By playing in a tough conference, the Raiders will have many challenges, a few highlighted games to look forward to are; 4/11 vs White Bear, 5/16 vs Mounds View(senior night), 4/25 vs East Ridge.
