Many students at RAHS face the challenge of completing homework efficiently. Distractions are mainly the leading culprit causing students to get off task.
Justin Gutierrez, Jake Wolfe, and Connor Beltz all share their unique ways of limiting their distractions and completing their homework.
Gutierrez, who dedicates an hour and a half to his work, prioritizing completing one class assignment at a time. Emphasizing a quiet and peaceful environment, Justin likes to work in his bedroom with music playing to help his concentration. And to maintain this concentration, he puts away his phone and puts aside any other possible distractions.
Wolfe likes to complete his work class by class for an hour and a half per night. Using his basement and TV as a strategic time to take breaks between assignments. He avoids distractions and is motivated to complete his work to open up free time. “I like to get it done because of the other things I could be doing right now.” He claimed.
Beltz dedicates 30 minutes per night to his homework time. Whatever assignment he wants to do he does, believing that having a scheduled approach to his work isn’t necessary. He prefers working with a classmate to have a quick and efficient approach to completing his work. To focus he uses music to block out noise and distractions. “Procrastination is a bad habit, so completing my work early is my main priority.”
These various and specific methods these students use to complete their homework with the best effort. Their experiences can share and help other students seeking to improve their academics.
