The 2024 Roseville girls tennis team has hit the halfway point of their season. So far they have a winning record of 18-9. As they face sections, here’s what some of the players have to say about their season so far.
Junior Daisy Otis said that a highlight of the season was a trip the team took to Green Bay. “At the beginning of the season we went on a trip to Green Bay… we had team bonding… we all got really close.” Said Otis. Junior Reese Johnston agreed with Otis saying “I really liked the Green Bay trip. We got a lot of matches in and it’s fun to have team bonding.”
In regards to the rest of the season, freshman Isabelle Ronneberg said that she’s looking forward to sections and “beating teams that we have struggled against”.
Senior captain Sophia Dang is also excited to compete at individual sections.
However, before sections arrive, Roseville Girls Tennis has some remaining team goals. One from Johnston is to: “win the rest of our matches”.
Otis said another team goal was to keep getting good wins, and that her and her teammates were staying strong. Dang is focused on her goal of going to state for doubles.
Ronneberg hopes to make all conference.
